He has been advising and acting as a Legal Counsel in UAE since late 2004.
Yasser has practiced on both sides of the legal practices, the non-contentious and the contentious.

From late 2004 to mid-2010, he has headed the Jebel Ali branch in one of the UAE known law firms where he has practiced more on the transactional side.
From 2010 onwards, he has represented a number of international and local companies in different types of contentious matters before the courts and before arbitral tribunals.
The key areas in the dispute resolution practice included banking, reals estate, construction, mergers and acquisition. He has a considerable experience in different types of litigation matters representing prominent UAE and international companies. From 2016 up to late 2021, he joined a law firm with branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah where he headed the practice in Dubai.

Since 2010, he focused on arbitration where he acted as a counsel in complex number of construction arbitrations involving prominent regional and multinational construction and real estate companies under the rules of ADCCAC, DIAC and ICC.
He started to accept appointments as arbitrator where he has acted as sole arbitrator, member of tribunal and chairperson in more than 30 international arbitration disputes under the rules of ICC, DIAC and ADCCAC and DIFC/LCIA.

He was awarded the second-best sole arbitrator by DIAC in 2018.
