 He began his career in Egypt and later moved to the UAE, where he became a prominent legal advisor. During his time at a leading law firm in the UAE, Ahmed demonstrated exceptional legal skills and dedication, ultimately being appointed as the Head of Legal for Investment and Finance Property Management at one of the largest banks in the UAE. His expertise in banking, combined with a deep understanding of financial regulations and transactions, highlights his strategic vision and legal acumen.

After his tenure at the bank, Ahmed Elsha’er joined one of the largest law firms in the Middle East and assumed the role of a senior counsel within the firm. Over a span of 12 years with the firm, Ahmed handled numerous complex cases, showcasing his expertise and legal prowess in navigating intricate legal challenges. He adeptly managed a diverse range of legal matters, further solidifying his reputation as a seasoned professional in the legal field.

This includes winning a substantial AED 2 billion claim in the Abu Dhabi Courts, skillfully managing a syndication matter amounting to AED 500 million, and successfully resolving an AED 800 million property dispute in the Dubai Courts. Yasser El-Hawary brings 25 years of comprehensive legal experience and is fluent in both Arabic and English. Prior to relocating to the UAE, he served as the head of claims and legal affairs for a multinational logistics company in Egypt, demonstrating significant leadership and expertise in the legal sector.

He has been advising and acting as a Legal Counsel in UAE since late 2004.
Yasser has practiced on both sides of the legal practices, the non-contentious and the contentious.

From late 2004 to mid-2010, he has headed the Jebel Ali branch in one of the UAE known law firms where he has practiced more on the transactional side.
From 2010 onwards, he has represented a number of international and local companies in different types of contentious matters before the courts and before arbitral tribunals.
The key areas in the dispute resolution practice included banking, reals estate, construction, mergers and acquisition. He has a considerable experience in different types of litigation matters representing prominent UAE and international companies. From 2016 up to late 2021, he joined a law firm with branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Fujairah where he headed the practice in Dubai.

Since 2010, he focused on arbitration where he acted as a counsel in complex number of construction arbitrations involving prominent regional and multinational construction and real estate companies under the rules of ADCCAC, DIAC and ICC.
He started to accept appointments as arbitrator where he has acted as sole arbitrator, member of tribunal and chairperson in more than 30 international arbitration disputes under the rules of ICC, DIAC and ADCCAC and DIFC/LCIA.

He was awarded the second-best sole arbitrator by DIAC in 2018.
